Studio IX and the Photographers.
Studio IX is a new company owned and ran by veteran photographers in the event and advertising photography industry with a mix of young upcoming picture makers that bring bright new ideas into the organization. As in the opera 'Marriage of Figaro', we at Studio IX believe that wit should overcome wealth and power. We believe that photographer education should be a better basis for choosing our partners rather than the equipment that they bring along.
Studio IX Philosophy.
With so much image post processing happening around us, photographers have lost their focus. We believe that photographers are hired to take pictures (first) and that image processing only takes second fiddle. As the adage goes, 'less is more'. Minimalism in image production brings out deeper emotion and rekindles clearer memories from the pages of a frozen past.
Executing the Work.
We probably are one of only a few in the industry that offer unobtrusive coverage of your event (wedding). This ensures that we capture every genuine emotion as it happens. Years from now, as you return to the pages of your album, you remember and relive the emotion. We recommend on location pre-production meetings / visits to help us make sure your wedding goes smoothly and each memory recorded forever.

Our team sits down around our 'think' table to come up with new ideas and concepts for each individual client. Every album is custom made and designed to match the needs and theme of each celebration. Repetition bores us to hell!
Equipment Capacity.
We are equipped for all kinds of event & advertising photography. Our cameras range from Canon & Nikon DSLR's to 35 mm film SLR's to Mamiya 6X7 medium format film cameras as well as large format field & monorail cameras. Our studio lighting systems are of professional grade used for editorials & advertising you see on billboards and glossy magazines.
Videos.
Though we specialize in still photography, we also offer videos that are manned by those educated in the field of cinematography (not just video editors or cameramen). They too are equipped with high end video cameras supported by hand held palm sized cameras for close unobtrusive angles where the large professional cameras may pose to be intimidating.
Packages.
A milestone event in an individual's life deserves more than just a preset package. It must be given careful consideration and proper treatment. It is inevitable then to meet the client to present our works and discuss their needs and only then can we provide exact amounts, on the fly.
Early Booking & Price Protection.
Early booking is recommended to protect you from price increases. Placing a downpayment secures you of our commitment to your chosen date. But to keep ourselves in business, the downpayment is non-refundable for the reason that, we are only capable of booking one wedding per day. This makes it unfair to other clients that would want us to be part of their celebration whom we turned down.
Your Choice.
As all forms of art, visual imaging is subjective. It is always advisable to see the photographer’s or videographer’s work before you make your final choice. We encourage clients to go around and compare other photographer’s works since not everyone appreciates the same kind of images. In today's economy there may have to be compromises made, but make sure you decide on something that you can live with. Afterall, years from now, as you return to the pages of your album, we hope our images will indeed help you remember and relive the emotion.
